Nature understands no jesting; she is always true, always serious, always severe; she is always right, and the errors and faults are always those of man. The man incapable of appreciating her, she despises and only to the apt, the pure, and the true, does she resign herself and reveal her secrets.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832)

"There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all argument, and which cannot fail to keep man in everlasting ignorance. That principle is condemnation before investigation." - Edmund Spencer
"He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is a folly and shame unto him." Proverbs 18:13 |

"Nature" in this context means - "the laws that drive the Universe" - not necessarily only physical laws. Humans create rules, which they arrogantly call "Laws" - the fact is that they are only rules. A wise man makes his rules to match the true laws, and therefore his rules are laws. How will you recognize it? - simply by the fruits!
