Although the standard Volume Control does the job it is a bit uncomfortable to use. For example it requires the user to move the volume adjustment controls vertically. While this may be intuitively logical it is uncomfortable since the user must lift and move his/her entire hand. In difference Audio Control was made to increase the volume by controlling a horizontal bar, thus the user need to only turn (rotate) his/her wrist, which is the natural movement for the wrist, hence it is comfortable. See the following image of Audio Control:

Audio Control supports volume control adjustment via all possible inputs, e.g. mouse, mouse wheel, clicking on the up and down arrows, entering numeric value from the keyboard, hitting the keyboard arrows, Page Up and Down keys, Home and End keys, etc. There are many more advantages that Audio Control offers, for example size, position, accessibility, logic, etc. The images above show the standard Volume Control and Audio Control displaying the same audio card. Audio Control is easily customizable, allowing the user to set his preference for almost every property of the application. For example, the user could easily adjust the appearance of Audio Control so that it displays only a single audio line as shown below, while all other audio controls and functionality are still there - only one or two mouse clicks away.
Audio Control
Some audio cards expose more than one audio lines. If using the Standard Volume Control one would need to open separate window and juggle these windows individually. Additionally to this inconvenience, to find and open these windows is not immediately obvious and many people do not even suspect the richness of controls which they might have on their system. In difference Audio Control displays all audio lines in a single window. Using the scroll bars the user can easily reach the precise control it needs. Audio Control is also able to sort the controls by use, alphabetically, value and other properties. For users who use a particular audio line or lines extensively and want to have it/them displayed in a very specific place(s) on the screen, Audio Control offers the Minimal 1 and Minimal 2 view modes. The following snapshot of Audio Control appearances demonstrates this.
